After the Rain

The Dayton area had almost two weeks of storms and high water in mid-August, but last week the river came back down. The water was just right for rowing, flat and clear, with very little wind most days. Here and there, a fallen leaf gently drifting in the current gave a reminder that autumn is just around the corner.

We had several days of pleasant weather, and it was great to see recent Learn-to-Row graduates getting out on the river and feeling more confident. Rowing is a wonderful way to get exercise while enjoying the natural beauty of the outdoors!
